Joey Norris is an athletic 11-year-old from Kensington, Md. He will be honored as this year's 19th Annual Bobby Mitchell/TOYOTA Hall of Fame Golf Classic "Patient Hero" for his incredible strength and positive attitude while battling leukemia.
We will be collecting clothes, shoes, linens and toys as both an act of alms giving during Lent and as a fundraiser because Holy Cross will be paid by the pound for accepted donations.
This week, the Archdiocese announced that tuition aid for next year (2009-2010) will double to nearly $4 million. The deadline to apply for tuition assistance for elementary schools has been extended to next Friday, February 27, 2009.
